(d) That orders for purchases of provisions, drugs,

surgical dressings, &c. required for the

Extension shall be issued separately from

orders issued for similar purchases to meet

the requirements of No. 37 Bryanston Square.

That the purchases thus separately made shall

be kept separate; that is to say, provisions,

drugs, surgical dressings, &c., ordered for

the Extension shall be delivered to, stored at,

and used exclusively by the Extension; purchases

for the requirements of No. 37 Bryanston Square

being similarly dealt with there.

That all estimates of expenditure for the

equipment of the Hongkong Extension shall be

submitted to the Finance Committee and that

until passed by them no orders shall be given.

I am persuaded that the observance of these

stipulations is an indispensable condition of the

fulfilment of the udertaking entered into at the Committee

Meeting held on the 25th September and embodied

in the Resolutions then passed, and I venture to hope

that they will be agreed to in the event of the occasion

arising for me to propose them in the form of resolutions.
